Very interesting read from John Piper about tv and movies....would love to hear some of your thoughts....http://www.desiringgod.org/ResourceLibrary/TasteAndSee/ByDate/2009/4023_Why_I_Dont_Have_a_Television_and_Rarely_Go_to_Movies/
do you ever feel like you are in a spiritual warfare, fighting and fighting, but you continue to feel defeated? God's Word says we can walk victoriously and He has given us everything we need to do that. How do we tap into the Holy Spirit like we need to? If anyone has any thoughts on that, comment. Also, what are some of your favorite verses that help you get through a rough day, struggle, and hard times?.....

softball

Ok, for those of you that know me you know I have no athletic ability whatsoever and I do not really enjoy sports...I know nothing about football, baseball, or really any other sport. This concerns some of my fellow co-workers greatly by the way....just take a look at what is in their offices. Anyways, I do attend the GCC softball games because I think it's important for us to support the team and cheer them on. It's also a cool way to meet people that you may not even know went to Grace....check it out sometime. Friday nights at Heritage Park....times are on the GCC website.

I like it...

I don't read blogs that often but I read this one today and thought it really made a lot of sense....it's funny because I just listened to a sermon recently where the pastor said that we spend too much time on 4 ways to be successful, 3 points to a better marriage, etc. instead of teaching people how to fall in love with Jesus and with the Word of God....my prayer is that I'll have more of a hunger and passion everyday and let Him refine me and a lot of the issues I have will slowly heal and take care of themselves...

I love our community group....I didn't even know what one was when I started attending Grace Community, and to be honest I was a bit skeptical about how they would work and what purpose they would serve....But oh wow, God really kicked me in the butt with this one! just in the time we've been together, i've made amazing friends, gained wisdom, cried with people, laughed so hard i cried, and just enjoyed living life with these people in my community group. The concept seemed so strange to me at the beginning but now I can't imagine it any other way...
